I’ve gotten a lot of questions over the years about my skincare routine, so I wanted to share what I’m actually doing right now: the products I love, the steps I really follow, and the little habits that make my skin feel happy, healthy, and glowy. I try to keep things holistic, minimal, and clean, because I want my routine to be effective without feeling overwhelming. No Botox, no injections, just intentional self-care.
Morning Rituals: Start with Intention
Castor Oil Pack: I don’t do this every day, sometimes not even weekly, but I’ve really enjoyed an situational overnight castor oil pack to help with bloat, cramping, detoxification and digestive support. You’ll find as I start to share more over time that my habits are like broad strokes. I feel like I’ve developed a pretty strong foundation where wellness is evident in almost everything I do, but I am furthest from rigid, in fact I’d argue that following something just for the sake of it is not wellness. When you can become intuitive to your needs you can be in flow with yourself, that feels like wellness to me.
Tongue Scraping: This ancient Ayurvedic practice helps remove toxins and bacteria, promoting oral health and fresh breath. Healthy skin and oral health are more connected than people realize; bacteria and inflammation in the mouth can actually show up on your skin. It’s also extremely satisfying. I got tongue scraper for the kids, and they love them too.
Let’s get into the products I use….
- Cleansing
I can probably count on one hand how many times I’ve used a soap-based cleanser on my skin in my life.
I use an oil, often times something simple like vitamin e, mixed with a toner, I really love Oak Essentials balancing mist.
Koji Pads: depending whether I have these on hand, I can go through them pretty quickly, if I feel like my skin needs a deeper clean I’ll use a Koji pad all over my face. These pads are great for gentle exfoliation and brightening. My absolute favorite are by Uncommon Beauty. Haven’t found ones better.
- Serum
COSRX Vitamin C-13 and 6 Peptide Booster Serum: I apply both of these to my face and neck multiple times a day if I’m not in full glam. The C-13 is packed with antioxidants that brighten and even out my skin tone, and the booster serum is incredible, it feels like a really thin (not oily, or heavy) almost water-like product but does the most. Instantly plumps my skin.
Alternative: Golden Secrets Serum: I've been a fan of this magical drink for years, pricey but my goodness is it special. It's packed with nourishing ingredients that promote healthy skin, and so so hydrating. Talk about a glow, my skin loves this stuff.
- Lymphatic Massage: a must. The literal secrets. While the serum absorbs, I give myself a gentle lymphatic massage. This helps with circulation and promotes a healthy glow.
- Hydration
COSRX Hyaluronic Acid 3: I layer this hydrating serum over the Vitamin C serum and booster serum. It locks in moisture and keeps my skin plump.
- Moisturizing
COSRX Ceramide Skin Barrier B5: This moisturizer strengthens my skin's barrier and keeps it hydrated throughout the day. Obsessed is an understatement. This stuff is great.
Alternative: Oaks Essentials Moisturizer: I also love this moisturizer for its clean ingredients and lightweight feel.
I’m a big believer that oral health affects your skin. Inflamed gums or bacteria in the mouth can contribute to breakouts or dullness. Taking care of your mouth is taking care of your skin.
Truvani Toothpaste: I brush my teeth with Truvani's clean toothpaste. It's fluoride-free and made with natural ingredients.
Baking Soda: I add a pinch of baking soda to my toothpaste for extra whitening and to neutralize acids.
Sometimes, your skincare routine needs a little boost beyond creams and serums. That’s where tools and targeted treatments come in, and they help your skin absorb products better, stimulate circulation, and support overall skin health. I like to think of this as the “extra care” part of my routine, the steps that make my skin feel energized, lifted, and healthy from the inside out.
Castor Oil Pack: While I start my day removing it, castor oil isn’t just a ritual - it can support circulation and lymphatic flow, which contributes to a natural, radiant glow over time.
Foreo Device: I use this for gentle facial massages and skin tightening. It boosts circulation, helps my products sink in, and leaves my skin feeling lifted and refreshed.
Red Light LED: Occasionally, I use red light therapy to stimulate collagen production, reduce inflammation, and promote smoother, brighter skin. Think of it as a little extra TLC that helps your skin stay healthy and glowing.
I like to think of supplements as a helpful nudge for your skin and overall wellness, not a strict rule. Honestly, I’m not perfectly consistent with them - I take more of an intuitive approach, listening to what my body needs each day. Some days I skip a few, other days I go all in, and that’s okay.
Here’s a snapshot of what I usually include:
Turmeric (You’re Golden): Supports healthy inflammation levels, which can help your skin look calm and radiant.
NAD+ (Qualia): Helps with energy and cellular health — your skin and body feel the benefits from the inside out.
Multi-Vitamin (Compliment): Covers essential vitamins and minerals that support overall wellness.
Nutrafol: Targets hair, skin, and nails to keep them strong and healthy.
https://go.shopmy.us/p-25400853: Keeps digestion balanced, which reflects in clearer, happier skin.
Cymbiotika Liposomal Magnesium L-Threonate: Supports relaxation, recovery, and stress management.
Cymbiotika Irish Sea Moss: Nutrient-rich liquid that nourishes your skin and body from the inside.
Cymbiotika Liposomal Vitamin C: Supports collagen production and healthy aging.
Pique’s BT Fountain Beauty Electrolyte Powder: Helps with hydration and maintaining skin elasticity and plumpness.
Even though I’m not perfect about taking everything every day, having these supplements on hand gives me flexibility. It’s about listening to your body and supporting it when it needs a little extra love, which ultimately helps my skin feel and look its best.
Final Thoughts
This routine is about consistency and listening to my skin. I choose products with clean ingredients that support my skin's health. Remember, glowing skin comes from within, and hydration, sleep, and a balanced lifestyle are just as important as the products you use.
